DOCTOR/DONNA STORIES

Rain of Terror

The Tardis is mysteriously pulled out of the space-time vortex, back to present day earth. The Doctor and Donna race the clock to save humanity, only hours away from total annihilation. In the process, the time traveler and his friend must confront not one, but two alien races–one of them an old enemy of the Doctor’s.

Dark Holiday

The Doctor and Donna seek to solve the murder of an a young boy found on the moor. But, their search for clues will net them more than they bargained for, as their hunt leads them from the turn-of-the 20th century, to the present day

Mad Country.

The Doctor promises Donna a holiday in the sun. What she gets, is a seemingly deserted village, filled with mad people. An ancient race of aliens seeks to drive everyone–including the Doctor, to the brink of insanity.

Doctor Du Jour.

The Doctor takes Donna back to turn of the century London, to visit an old friend of his. When they arrive at the friend’s home, however, the Doctor finds an ambulance parked outside and the home deserted. Peeking through a window, Donna witnesses a startling death. Something is alive in the house, and it seems to be very hungry. Is it just an abandoned pet, or is it something far more sinister?

 The Pyramid Project.

The Doctor finds another ship in the heart of the space-time vortex–with a captain who is the spitting image of an old friend. Meanwhile, on Earth, an alien race seeks to re-conquer the planet…beginning with Las Vegas. Follow the Doctor and Donna as they travel from a space ship in the future to modern-day Las Vegas, tracking down a secret weapon which can turn all the peoples of the Earth into slaves.

DOCTOR/MARTHA STORIES:

Grave Danger

Written in 2006, in this story, the Doctor takes Martha on a picnic in  19th century Paris…and ends up, as usual, someplace completely different! The Doctor and Martha encounter strange doings amid the rain and mist of a Welsh cemetery…can the Doctor save the earth–and Martha, before they become cosmic dogfood?

Numbered Days  (an unfinished work).

The Doctor and Martha travel from a dude ranch in Arizona, to the mysterious planet of Avris. There the pair find people who are executed for having a name, the mysterious fire-breathing grindle, a policeman/wizard, and….the Doctor’s double.

The Dream Weavers:

Written in 2006, this tale finds the Doctor and Martha pulled off-course, to a strange planet where bird-like creatures turn dreams into reality, and where the Doctor eventually finds himself facing his worst nightmare. Can he and Martha escape from the land of dreams, back to the real world?

 10th DOCTOR/ROSE STORY:

The Doctor’s Pyjamas.

It’s Rose’s birthday, and the Doctor is treating her to a fabulous weekend in London. However, he wakes on Monday morning in a London hospital, without his memory. But, his memory isn’t the only thing that’s missing: Rose has gone missing as well, while the Doctor lies in bed, a prisoner of the British government. Will the Doctor regain his memory in time and find Rose, before an alien and an arsonist both do away with her?

STAND ALONE STORIES:

(companionless or with other companions)

 Attack of the Fan Girls

This is merely a very short, playful piece,  poking fun at the Doctor’s new sexed-up 21st century image.

Evil Waters :  (unfinished, unedited first draft)

. People are going missing from a rural English town, and the Doctor must find the evil which is lurking in the waters of the local canal…before the evil finds him!

The Perspex Prison:

The Doctor’s companion Martha has stepped away from the Tardis to visit a sick friend. So, the Doctor is off on his own, taking a break from his adventures  in the intergalatic holiday resort of Snod. Yet, while the Doctor is window shopping for a souvenier for Martha, someone else is window shopping for another, bigger souvenier—of the last of the Time Lords. Written in 2006.

Thanks Nancy, that does explain it better indeed.

I’m glad you came to the realization that Dr. Who is really only a TV-series, and that you decided to stop depending on it. It takes courage to let go of crutches, no matter what those crutches are!

I wish you all the strength you need to keep going. There is life after Dr. Who :-)

Hi Heidi! Nice to hear from you again.

Thank you so much for the lovely comment. I can honestly say that no one has ever said such nice things about my writing. Thank you so much!

    Hello Els,

It’s a bit of a long story. Let’s just say that I was already down emotionally, and the shock of regeneration scene (but NOT the fact that Tennant was regenerating) upset me hugely, at a time when that was absolutely the last thing that I needed.

The fact that producers felt the need to shock fans like this, left me feeling betrayed and hurt. Again, without going into great detail, Dr Who was basically all I’ve had to cling to, to keep me going for the past two years. I stupidly had this trust in some TV show, that I could always count on it to make me feel better.

When I realized what a stupid fool I’d been, using a TV show as an emotional crutch, and letting it upset me to the point where I stayed up all night, crying…I knew it was time to distance myself from it…which meant to stop watching it so much (on DVD), and to stop writing Dr Who fan fiction.

Hope that explains things better, cheers. Nancy G.

I just ran into this blog, read this entry, and can’t help but wonder: what in episode 12 caused the upset?

Aw, I’m very sorry to hear you won’t be continuing to write Doctor Who fanfics. You were really brilliant at it, the way you perfectly captured the characters and wrote such entertaining stories. It felt as if I was watching an episode.

Well, I’m glad to at least have the many you have already written to keep me happy. Very glad that you’d come across my site and shared your work with me. =)
